James F. Haggerty

James F. Haggerty, Senior Counselor to Brody Berman Associates has nearly 15 years of experience in marketing, public relations, and public affairs. An attorney, he has a national reputation in the fields of professional and financial services marketing, public affairs, and crisis and litigation communications. Jim is the author of In the Court of Public Opinion, a critically-acclaimed book about the new role of public relations in winning and successfully defending litigation. Ragan's Media Relations Reports has called him "one of the nation's foremost experts in Litigation PR." Jim is also President of The PR Consulting Group in New York, of which Brody Berman is a member firm.

A frequent writer and lecturer on communications issues, his articles and other writings have appeared in The New York Times, The National Law Journal, and Law Practice Management.

Jim holds a B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and studied law at Fordham University in New York and Stetson University in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Florida and is a member of the Counselors Academy of the Public Relations Society of America.
